Nissan Qashqai vs Renault Koleos

Today on the blog, we’re looking at the second-generation Renault SUV Koleos, and Nissan’s all-new third-gen update to the increasingly popular Qashqai. Sunshine Coasters want to know, “which one works best for me and my family?”

We’re going to start today’s blog by looking at the Qashqai, this third generation Qashqai sports a full makeover but keeps a traditional Nissan style in mind as it looks to take on the other SUVs in the mid-priced and mid-sized range.

This all-new Nissan Qashqai, which differs from the blog writer’s 2021 model in many ways, has been updated to become wider, taller, and include bigger wheelbases in 2023. Now standard on the Qashqai’s exterior are auto-folding mirrors, and automatic LED headlights on the base model ST.

This reflects the price rise of the base model, as the all-new interior borrows design aspects from the other Nissan SUVs released in the last 12 months, the Nissan X-Trail and Pathfinder.

That’s just the outside, as the Qashqai has received an all-new interior to reflect the overhaul of Nissan’s 2023 SUV range. The base model features an 8-inch touch screen, wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rear luggage hooks, and six interior speakers.

An additional cost to upgrade to the next version includes bigger wheels, adaptive cruise control, a bigger screen with wireless Apple CarPlay, and a wireless smartphone charger to name a few.

Let’s look at the second-generation Renault Koleos, sporting a makeover and a series of upgrades fitting of the current year 2023.

The new Koleos has received several upgrades on the entry level model, including blind-spot monitoring, leatherette seating, auto-folding side mirrors, and new interior lighting.

Much like the Qashqai, it features 5 seats as standard with no upgrade to 7 seats available, where the Qashqai has fellow models the X-Trail and Pathfinder to pick up the slack for the larger family.

What we can say about the Koleos in 2023, however, is just how much space there is inside for those in all five seats. Passengers and drivers alike will feel the difference with ample leg room and comfort at all stages of the journey.
